Robert J. Valeriani
Portland – Robert J. Valeriani, 84, of Portland, passed away at Mercy Hospital on March 17, 2014. He was born on September 4, 1929, the son of Valentino and Mary (Woodward) Valeriani. Robert was an Army and National Guard Veteran.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Joseph Valeriani, Harry Valeriani, Dominic Valeriani and Anthony Valeriani and sister Tina Jameson.
He is survived by his two step-daughters; Diane Horridge and her husband Robert Horridge, Jr of Warwick, RI, and Patricia Lariviere of Standish as well as his five grandchildren; Catherine Lee, Cassandra Worden, Sgt. Nicholas Shaw, Robert Horridge, III and Jessica Shaw and four great-grandchildren; Jasmyn, TreVaughn, Alauna and Colton. He is also survived by his brothers, Valentino Valeriani, Jr. of Naples, Vincent Valeriani of Brewer, Arthur Valeriani of Limington and Richard Valeriani of Conway, NH and sisters, Ronse Manzo of Winslow, Ethel Gerrish of Biddeford and Virginia Espositio of Bull Head, AZ.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 5:00pm at Ruski’s Restaurant and Pub in Portland. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 pm on March 24, 2014 at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd, Augusta.
