Westbrook -----Ralph Francis Leo Sr., 86, passed away on May 21, 2014 at Springbrook Center. He was born January 13, 1928,
the son of Thomas and Frances Eagan Leo. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Ralph enjoyed being self-employed in the gas business with his brother, Robert Leo, and later with his son, Ralph Jr.  
His first station was the “Jenny Station” on the corner of Middle and India Streets, and later stations on
Forest Avenue and Brighton Avenue before retiring from the   Irving Station on Main Street in Westbrook.  
He was married to Joyce McLeod Leo for 21 years and raised three children.
Ralph always worked six days a week, but Sunday was his day to make sauce and meatballs and enjoyed having the family over.
He lived in Portland most of his life, later after retirement he purchased a condo in Westbrook, before settling in Falmouth.
Ralph enjoyed crossword puzzles, old western movie, and eating out with his children and grandchildren in his later years.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Joyce Leo, brothers Joseph and Robert, and sister Eleanor Gloriandi.  
He is survived by his children, Cathy and Robby Lee of Westbrook, Cheri and Carl Booth of Windham, and Ralph and
Holly Leo of Gorham, as well as his grandchildren, Cathy Nugent of So. Portland, Tara Clark of Saco, Kelly and Jared Elston of Windham,
Michele Leo of Gorham, Rachel and John Gendron of Lewiston, Carl and Gabrielle Booth of Windham, Molly and David Toothaker of Rangeley, Patrick and Liz Clark of Falmouth
and 15 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Ralph’s favorite Doctor, Ann Thomas of Mercy Primary Care in Falmouth
and also the staff at 75 State Street in Portland, Springbrook Center in Westbrook, and VNA Home Health Hospice for their kindness and caring support.
A memorial service and private burial will be at a later date at New Gloucester Lower Cemetery
“You will be with us always, Dad. When the butterfly visits our garden, when leaves glide thru the air, when snowflakes are silently falling,
when new life springs from the earth, we’ll know you are there with us. Be in love and peace, Dad.
