Scarborough – Anita L. Finn, 71, of Buxton, Maine passed away on January 12, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Edward and Frieda (Modes) Finn. She grew up in Portland on Munjoy Hill and attended Portland High School.
Anita worked in several capacities during her life. She worked for Hannaford Brothers in Purchasing and later served as acting purchasing agent for the City of South Portland. She worked for Maine Neurology as a medical transcriptionist and for the last 20 years has had a private practice.
One of Anita’s great loves was boating. She would often take her boat throughout the islands of Casco Bay. She enjoyed skiing and traveling and loved the outdoors. Her greatest enjoyment came from quilting. She loved embroidery and making quilts.
Anita was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her brother Robert Finn of Florida and has several nieces, nephews and cousins.
