GORHAM - John C. “Jack” Boisvert, 76, passed away peacefully January 21, 2015, at the Gosnell House in Scarborough. He was born in Portland, Maine on April 16, 1938, the son of Olive (Sampson) Axelsen.

Jack grew up and lived most of his life in South Portland, ME. For the last year and a half he was a resident at The Inn at Village Square in Gorham.  For 38 years, he was employed by Burnham and Morrill Baked Beans in Portland. In his younger days, Jack was a boater, motorcyclist, and an avid citizen band radio enthusiast. He then earned his ham operators license and was able to communicate with other ham operators from all over the world.
Jack is survived by his son Gary Boisvert, his daughter-in-law Kelly and granddaughter Deanna; and also by his son Scott Boisvert and grandson Steven.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staffs at The Inn at Village Square, New England Rehab Hospital and Gosnell House for the excellent care they provided him at the end of his life.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, February 21, 2015 at the Prides Corner Congregational Church, 235 Pride Street, Westbrook, ME  04092.
