Lester C. Scott, Jr.
Portland - Lester C. Scott, Jr., 81, died after a brief illness on March 15, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born July 1, 1933 in Cumberland, Maine to Lester C. and Evelyn F. (Simmons) Scott. He attended grade schools in west Cumberland and Graduated from Greely High School in 1952. He was enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War. He studied civil engineering at Northeastern University. He worked for engineering and architectural companies in Massachusetts and Maine.
Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing darts, painting sea and landscapes, and playing guitar.
Lester was predeceased by his wife Diane (Campbell) Scott and five sisters. He is survived by his children; Pamela Fischer, Susan Scott, Kirsten Hefler, and L. Colby Scott III; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cohen, Dr. Lloyd, Dr. Bradley and the RNs and CNAs in CICU and GPV 5 at the Maine Medical Center for their exceptional care and kindness to Lester and the entire family.
Lester's life will be celebrated privately by the family
