Virginia M Aberle, 97, passed away on October 26, 2015.

Virginia, known as Nana, or Auntie Ginny to most was born in Medford, Massachusetts on May 25, 1918.

She was a person with many facets. Before residing at Pine Point Center for the past year, she lived with her daughter Deanna Gelinas and shared in the raising of her 2 children, Amita and Nolan. She worked hard throughout her life, suffered through the loss of her husband and 3 of her children but still brought so much joy into the lives of others. She was a wonderful role model for all that knew her. She was a pioneer of women's rights and the rights of all, long before it was fashionable. She loved her politics and would stand her ground in any political debate, yet she was tolerant and respectful of others beliefs and loved everyone no matter what. She was a closet golf, Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was an expert seamstress, a sales woman and an all around fix-it women around the house. She was an avid Scrabble player and if you sat down and played with her - you needed to have an extra 6 hours to spare, as she took her time to play just the right word. She was the corner stone of a large family and touched the lives of both family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Gelinas, 10 grandchildren: Amita Gelinas, Nolan Gelinas, Christine Redwine, Cheri Allen, Beth Ann Redwine, Kevin Mullaney, Karen Mullaney, Lisa Gillis, Kathryn Aberle and Eric Aberle, 16 great grandchildren, nieces: Michelle Matthews, Ellen Blaney and Pat Benson and nephews Paul Flaherty, Steve Flattery, Scott Flattery and Michael Flattery. She is predeceased by her loving husband, George E. Aberle, 2 daughters: Linda Arruda and Sandra Mullaney, 1 son: Brian Aberle, 3 sons-in-laws: Guy Gelinas, Richard Arruda and Christopher Mullaney, 6 sisters and brothers, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on November 22, 2015.
