Portland - Dorothy M. Gillespie, of Portland, passed away at the Baron Center after a brief illness at the age of 93. Dolly grew up in Westbrook the daughter of Lincoln B and Helen L Cobb. She graduated from Westbrook HS and was in banking for most of her career. She married Earl K. Herbert in 1940 having 2 children Linda Herbert Thompson Boote and Stephen E. Herbert. They were married for 46 years. Dolly found happiness again and married Bernard Gillespie for 11 years before his passing. Dolly enjoyed being with her family and being "up ta camp" at Moosehead Lake. Most of all she will be remembered for her love of music and dancing. Dorothy had 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson.
Graveside service to be held at 2pm. on 12/4/15 at St. Hyacinths’ Cemetery, Westbrook, Maine.
