Falmouth – Arnold L. Jensen, 98, passed away at home on September 11, 2016. He was born in November 25, 1917 in Falmouth, the son of Jens Peter and Helen Nichols Jensen. He graduated from Falmouth High School.

On August 2, 1943 Arnold married Jane T Anderson and they spent the next 70 years together. Arnold entered the Naval Reserves in 1940 building barracks on Peaks Island. He began active service in 1941, and served on the USS Ranger as an aircraft mechanic from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1945. Returning home to Falmouth he worked as an apprentice plumber and eventually he and Jane started Falmouth Plumbing and Heating Company. He and Jane raised their family and lived in Falmouth their whole lives.

Arnold was always active and throughout his life enjoyed downhill skiing and many family ski trips. In his younger years ski jumping was a favorite passtime. In 1960, he built a camp for his family on Sebago Lake. He spent many summers taking family and friends waterskiing and boating around the lake. He and Jane also loved the ocean and exploring the islands of Casco Bay. After retirement, they began ballroom dancing which they enjoyed for many years.

Arnold is survived by his son Larry R Jensen and his partner Lois Anderson of Warren; his daughter Katherine J Osolin and her husband Ned of Brunswick; 3 granddaughters, Kristine Enman of Buxton, Kayla Jensen of Rockport, and Kacie Jensen of Winslow; 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Enman, Cameron Jensen, and Kyle Jansen; 2 sisters Jeanne Davidson of Portland, and Joanne Antone of East Setaukey, NY; a sister in law Ruth Jensen of Windham; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jane T Jensen; a brother Donald A Jensen; and 4 sisters Gertrude Frost, Doris Galli, Evelyn Leighton, and Jeanette Nichols.
