Kevin D. Hood
Kevin D. Hood, of Westbrook, Maine, passed away November 10, 2016. He was born December 13, 1955 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Edward Lee and Lenora Marie (Lightwine) Hood.
Kevin graduated from high school in Fort Scott. He worked at his parent’s gas station and fish bait store while growing up. His career was spent in the oil industry and as a cattle hauler in Kansas.
Kevin was an avid outdoorsmen, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed his time spent at catfish bakes and campfires with his life-long friends in Kansas, but most of all loved spending time with his granddaughter Cassie (“Grasshopper”).
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Edward. He is survived by: his wife of 10 years Dianne Hood of Westbrook, Maine; son Robert Leonard and his wife Cheryl of Gorham, Maine; granddaughter Cassie Leonard of Gorham, Maine; cat Squeeker of Westbrook, Maine; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Kevin’s life from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 300 East Bridge St., Westbrook, ME 04092.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin’s name to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, 449 Stroudwater St, Westbrook, ME 04092, www.arlgp.org.
