Ira “Ike” Ostrove died December 17, 2016 at Gosnell Hospice House. He was born 3/31/32 in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the son of the late Samuel Robert Ostrove and Nettie Leifer Ostrove.
Ike raised his family in Merrick, NY and retired to Falmouth, ME in 1996.
Ike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Tuula Ostrove, a son, Jon Ostrove and his wife Kathy of Seattle, WA, a daughter, Liisa Abbatiello of Portland, and is pre-deceased by his daughter Satu Harris of Oak Island, NC. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and a cat named Bumpy.
The family thanks the staff of the SCU at Maine Medical Center and Gosnell Hospice House for their care during the last few weeks. Funeral arrangements will be private.
