Westbrook – Robert J. Raposa, 51, of Westbrook, Maine passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 19, from a massive stroke at Maine Medical; Center in Portland, Maine. Robert (Bobby) was born in Attleboro, MA on August 9, 1965 to Daniel and Mary Ellen (Kelliher) Raposa. He attended schools in Bourne, MA after moving to Falmouth.
For many years, he worked with his father and brothers in Raposa Construction, building homes throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Most recently, Bobby was a self-employed contractor in southern Maine. As a hardworking businessman, he managed multiple building projects that demonstrated his superior craftsmanship.
He is survived by his parents of York, Maine and Venice, Florida, three daughters, Nakitah, Tianna and Ltaya. A grandson, Brayden Dumont, along with several stepchildren and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa and her husband Todd Farrands of Northport, FL, his brothers, Daniel and his wife Susan of York, ME, Stephen of Bourne, MA and James of Northport, FL. He will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and by his partner, Lydia Sholl.
A loving father, Bobby most enjoyed spending time with his family and most recently enjoyed a very special trip to Disney World with Lydia, two of his daughters and his parents in Florida.
A celebration of his life will take place in June, at a time and place to be determined at a later date.
