Patricia K. Rodimon passed away peacefully at Scarborough Terrace on April 25, 2017. She was born August 31, 1926 in Westfield, MA, the daughter of Clifford John and Josephine (Moriarty) Welch.
Patricia graduated from Westfield High School in 1944 and from Westfield State College in 1948. She taught for two years at Memorial Ave. School in West Springfield, MA.
Patricia married William Gibbons Rodimon on August 6, 1949 and had celebrated 60 years of marriage. They had one daughter, Melissa, who lived in MA. She retired from South Hampton Road School in 1975. In 1986 they moved to Higgins Beach in Scarborough, ME where they had summered for many years. There, they enjoyed family and many old and new friends.
Patricia belonged to the Westfield Women’s Club, the Massachusetts Retired Teacher’s Association, and the Higgins Beach Association.
Patricia moved to Scarborough Terrace Assisted Living in 2012 where she met new friends and received excellent care from the staff and also her caregiver and friend, Faye Blaise.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband in 2010 and her daughter in 2014. She is survived by Charlotte King and Jack Carpenter, Richard King, Judith Furukawa and Sarah King, Carol and Tom Wing, Francis Moriarty, and many cousins and friends.
There will be no visiting hours or service. Donations in her memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
