Raquel D. Boehmer
Raquel D. Boehmer, 79, of Falmouth, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born on February 24, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of John and Fanny (Barberis) Davenport.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Peter Boehmer of Falmouth and by her three children Kristian Boehmer and his wife Marlarae of Waldo, ME, Louisa Wickard and her husband Brett of Cumberland, and Timothy Boehmer and his wife Lauren of Wyoming, RI.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in Raquel’s name to the Monhegan Artists Residency, 6 Stoneledge Drive, Portland ME 04102. Raquel and Peter initiated the program that became the Monhegan Artists Residency to give Maine artists a chance to live and work on Monhegan.
A celebration of life is planned for Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Foreside Community Church, 340 Foreside Road, Falmouth, Maine. All are welcome to attend.
