Born in Cleveland, OH, son of Charles B. Peck Jr. and Elizabeth MacKinnon Peck, Charlie was a WWII veteran. He was a graduate of the University of California Berkeley, BSEE and UCLA, MSEE.  He worked at Hughes Aircraft before being recruited by IBM.
Charlie was the manager of IBM’s computer lab at MIT.  In 1965, IBM moved Charlie and his family to Europe where he was a Senior Systems Engineer at CERN in Zurich and then in London at British Overseas Airways.  They returned to the U.S. in 1969, where he worked in IBM’s Cambridge, MA office before he transferred to the Portland, ME office in 1972.  He retired in 1986.
He was married to Lee H. Shenton at the time of his death.
He was a member and past president of Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist Church, volunteered at Falmouth Memorial Library and the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Maine. His computer knowledge and assistance was especially appreciated.
