Portland-Danny Desjardins, 52, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Meriden, Connecticut on July 2, 1965, the son of Robert and Josephine (Atwood) Desjardins.
Danny was a painter who enjoyed his work and was very passionate about it he worked for Light House Painting he always took pride in each job he did he never cut corners he felt everything had to be perfect. His knowledge of painting showed in his jobs and he was very skilled at every aspect of the trade this made him one of the most sought out painters.
Danny was so loved by so many he had a warped sense of humor and was always trying to play jokes on his friends and loved ones. He was kind to everyone even people he didn’t know, he also had a lot of friends that where homeless which he always tried to make sure they were taking care of. Danny would go shopping at Shaw’s or bring food from home to what was called the boatyard. He always made sure to bring the beer which was number one he was a kind and loving person with a wonderful huge heart.
His interest included baseball, basketball, and football he loved watching UCONN women’s basketball and cheering for them every game.
Danny is predeceased by his parents Robert and Josephine Desjardins, one brother Robert Desjardins Jr. one son Danny Desjardins Jr. and a brother in law Eddie Alfonso.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Desjardins a son Nicolas Desjardins one stepson Anthony Knowles a brother Dale and Lou Desjardins sisters Robin Alfons, Lynda and Eddie Tamalden, and Carol and Eddie Yambo and many nieces and nephews.
