David K. Salvini
David K. Salvini, Jr., 81, of Freeport, Maine, passed away on December 25th, 2021 from congestive heart failure. He is survived by his two daughters, Robin and Karen, and two sisters, Dorothy and Christine. He was predeceased by wife Gail and his brother Richard.
Dave (or “Rob” as he was known to long-time friends) was born in Massachusetts to David Sr. and Louise Salvini. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and spent a significant portion of his career working at Raytheon Corporation as an electronics engineer. Dave and Gail also owned and managed commercial real estate properties in New England, including the Capitol Theatre in Concord, New Hampshire.
In his personal life, Dave was known for being able to fix or build just about anything, and for his disarming sense of humor. Dave will be remembered for his affable warmth and generosity, as well as his love of the ocean. He made many lifelong friends on Long Island in Casco Bay, Maine, where he lived every summer as a child and later spent as much time as possible at his cottage. One of his favorite events was the annual Long Island picnic where he could be found grilling burgers and conversing with friends and visitors.
