Geoffrey Allen Bohannan
Geoffrey “Geo” Bohannan, beloved father, son, brother and friend died suddenly on July 3rd. Those who loved him, and we are many, will always remember his quick wit, compassion and love of adventure.
His death is made even more poignant by the fact that he had just earned his 30 day chip, having spent the last weeks of his life at a rehab center where he rediscovered a sense of optimism and a deep desire to truly live his life to its fullest.
At the time of his death, this note was on his bedside table:
“Breathing in, I’m aware of my heart…
Breathing out, I smile to my heart…
I vow to eat, drink and work in ways
that preserve my health and well-being.”
Geoff leaves behind his beautiful daughter India, her mom Bonnie, his mother Luiza, father David, step-father Richard,~sister Kimmy, nephew Lucas, step-mother Melissa, brother Nathan, and so many, many friends.
His mother and stepfather will be hosting a Celebration of Life event on Sunday August 14th from 2 to 6 at Riverbend Farm 184 Simpson Rd, Saco, ME 04072. We invite you to join us and to share this invitation with friends.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made in Geoff’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
