Walter Joseph Jackson, 78, of Lebanon, Maine, died May 10, 2019. He was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on March 8, 1941, the son of the late Dorothy Woodly Jackson and James Jackson, Sr. of Ogdensburg, New York.
He was employed by W.R. Grace & Co. in Nashua, NH for 20 years before moving to Maine and ultimately retiring afer working as a pipefitter at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME.
Walter was an avid outdoorsman, who especially loved fishing. He was outgoing, with a boundlesss sense of humor and infectious laugh, which his family and friends will deeply miss.
He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Sonia Jackson; their daughter, Meranda Jackson of Portsmouth, NH; brother James Jackson Jr. of Georgia; nephew Edward Gifford of Nashua, NH; several nieces and extended family.
